Melissa is no stranger to helping artists curate their work in a way that best communicates their capabilities, aesthetic, and individual point of view. After obtaining her BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology, she worked in New York City as a commercial photographer for several years before marrying her love of photography and marketing and moving into Artist Management.

While representing a roster of nationally recognized & award-winning photographers and directors, Melissa realized a third love: educating others on how to create their best work to reach their target audiences.

She spent nine years working with college-aged students in fine and performing arts, literary arts, and interactive arts and media, advising students on the necessary steps to elevate the way their work is perceived, in a manner that is authentic to their artistic vision and reflective of their desired career outcomes. Currently, Melissa works at an advertising agency, where she sees creative campaigns come to life daily, and stays current with emerging technology and creatives.

Melissa has served as an annual reviewer for the Palm Springs reviews at Photo Plus East and is on the board of True Chicago, an organization dedicated to providing resources and mentorship for creatives of color, ages 15-25.
